About This Place

Located in the heart of Lynwood, CA, Mariscos Nayarit is a vibrant Mexican seafood restaurant that brilliantly captures the fresh and bold flavors of Mexico’s Nayarit coast. Specializing in authentic, expertly prepared dishes, this local gem offers an incredible array of seafood delights that promise to ignite your palate with every bite.

The crown jewel of the menu is undoubtedly the Pescado Sarandeado, a grilled fish dish cooked to order with such care that it takes a bit of patience—well worth the wait, as its smoky, charred exterior and tender, juicy flesh deliver a mouthwatering experience that diners rave about. Whether you’re savoring the Pescado Sarandeado or diving into the zesty, refreshing Ceviche Tostada Mixta, made with a fresh medley of shrimp, octopus, and fish marinated in lime, each bite bursts with authentic coastal flavors.

Mariscos Nayarit’s menu is an ode to traditional Mexican seafood. Favorites such as the Tostada de Ceviche de Camaron Cocido en Limón and the Ceviche Mixto demonstrate an exquisite balance of freshness and citrus tang that highlights the ocean’s bounty. For those craving variety, the Crab Rangoon offers a delightful twist, while the Marismango brings a unique sweet-and-savory combination that intrigues and satisfies alike. Don’t miss out on classics like Pozole, perfectly complemented by their house-made Salsa Verde and invigorating Aguachile Verde.

Guests appreciate the warm, family-oriented atmosphere that Mariscos Nayarit provides, often described as a lively “hole in the wall” where genuine Mexican hospitality shines. The space resonates with inviting vibes, accentuated at times by live norteño music, adding an authentic cultural touch to your dining experience. While parking may be a challenge, the culinary journey here makes every minute of the drive worthwhile.

Many diners have expressed appreciation for the fair pricing, with generous portions that never compromise on authenticity or quality. The freshness of ingredients is palpable in every dish—from the Ostiones en su Concha (fresh oysters in the shell) to the zesty Cóctel de Pulpo y Camaron (octopus and shrimp cocktail). Whether you’re indulging in a seafood molcajete packed with flavor or enjoying a cold Corona or Pacifico alongside your meal, Mariscos Nayarit offers a well-rounded and memorable seafood feast that is as authentic as it is satisfying.

If you’re a seafood lover seeking a genuine taste of Mexico’s coastal cuisine, Mariscos Nayarit stands out as an unbeatable destination. The care in preparation, the variety of expertly crafted dishes, and the warm, vibrant atmosphere all come together to create a dining experience that you’ll want to revisit time and time again.

My first time coming here and I loved it!! Had their tostadas de camaron and fish and had the pescado sarandeado. If you order the pescado sarandeado, be patient. It takes a while because they cook it fresh when you order it!! It was soooooo yummy!! Loved it!! Will definitely be back!

The Sarandeado fish is really good, the place is family oriented and it has a good vibe. There's live norteño music but it has to be paid by request. In case you're wondering yes, the do serve alcohol ... enjoy it my dear friends...

I tried the seafood molcajete and it was packed with flavor. The portion was generous and the ingredients tasted extremely fresh.

Both times I've been, the fish was awesome. Had sea bass and snapper, both were cooked to perfection. The ceviche was pretty good. I don't care for the dried imitation crab.
